Conducted Tours Day 1: Cape Town
After breakfast we depart for Table Mountain (weather permitting) for a breathtaking view of Cape Town and its beautiful surroundings and an historical overview which will set the scene for the rest of the tour to Port Elizabeth. |
Should the weather not allow a visit to Table Mountain, we will end the visit at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. |
From the mountain we depart for Cape Town's city centre and visit numerous historical sites such as the Castle and the Grand Parade. |
We pay a short visit to the Company Gardens and South Africa's Parliamentary Buildings. |
After a short trip through the Bo-Kaap (Upper Cape), home to many of Cape Town's Malay families, we pass numerous historical buildings such as the oldest synagogue in South Africa. |
Long Street and its attractively restored Victorian shops and quaint old commercial buildings, discovering hidden statues and sculptures adorning the older facades. |
Lunch will be enjoyed at the popular Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. |
Conducted Tours Day 2: Cape Peninsula
We spend today viewing unfolding panoramas of the Cape Peninsula, the "appendix of Africa". From our accommodation we visit the Rhodes Memorial, close to the impressive University of Cape Town. |
On to the picturesque towns of Muizenberg and Simonstown, through quaint villages on the western shores of False Bay. |
We enter the Cape Point Nature Reserve with its breathtaking views of the flora and fauna of the Cape Floral Kingdom and lunch at the spectacularly beautiful Cape Point. |
On along the Atlantic seaboard of the Peninsula past Kommetjie and Noordhoek. |

Conducted Tours Day 3: Cape Town to Swellendam
After checking out and departing from Cape Town on the Migration Route to the east, we cross the breathtaking Hottentot Hollands Mountain Range and on to the holiday town of Hermanus, whale watching capital of the world. If in season (May to November) we will be directed by the whale-crier to view Southern Right whales from the shore, in Walker bay. |
We continue via the towns of Napier and Bredasdorp to the Southern Tip of Africa, Cape Agulhas. |
After a traditional South African "Braai" (barbeque) in the Bontebok National Park, we overnight at Swellendam, second oldest town in South Africa with it's fascinating history. |

Conducted Tours Day 6: Knysna to Port Elizabeth
Today we visit the famous Featherbed Nature Reserve, home to the Blue Duiker and the quaint Knysna Seahorse and colourful Knysna Loerie. After crossing the lagoon we depart on a fascinating tour of the Western Headlands of the Knysna Heads, culminating in a delicious lunch in the Food Forest. |
We continue along the Garden Route via Plettenberg Bay to the forests of the Tsitsikamma |
We finally pass the holiday resort villages of Cape St. Francis and Jeffreys Bay and overnight at, Port Elizabeth.
